Judy’s previous books are: Carpool Tunnel Syndrome: Motherhood as
Shuttle Diplomacy, which received a merit award, humor category,
from the Midwest Independent Publishers’ Association, 2002. It was also
excerpted in Woman’s Day. Till We Eat Again: Confessions of a Diet
Dropout, was named best humor book of 2003 by Midwest Independent
Publishers Association. It was also serialized on eDiets.com’s “eDiets
Extra” newsletter, sent to more than 3 million subscribers.
Her humor has been anthologized in Mirth of a Nation: the Best
Contemporary Humor (HarperCollins, 2001); 101 Damnations: the
Humorists’ Tour of Personal Hells (St. Martins, 2002);

Judy’s

a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Jewish Journal, as well as Websites
such as jewishworldreview.com, aish.com, ou.org, and thejewishwoman.org.
Judy does podcasts for the Orthodox Union on OURadio.org. She was featured in
Jewish Family Magazine in Spring 2007.
Judy, who has a Bachelor’s Degree in English literature from
the University of California, Berkeley and a Master's Degree in journalism
from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, is a former
regular (now occasional) columnist for Religion News Service, writing on
topics related to Jewish practice and spirituality. She has been a speaker
at the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop and given many humor presentations to
the public, including a keynote luncheon talk at the University of Judaism
in Los Angeles to more than 350 people. Judy is a member of the National Society of
Newspaper Columnists, American Association for Therapeutic Humor, and the
Authors Guild.
