Nan McElroy was working as an Avid film and video editor when she first traveled to Italy in 1995. She was astounded by the country as a whole, as are most people, and managed to return for an extended period during the Atlanta Olympics study the language. She continued to notice the lack of access to and understanding of the most fundamental information concerning how Italy functioned (where do you buy a pair of scissors?)...the kind that’s critical to any traveler who has so little time.
